How It Works

1 Maintenance Fee Calculation

The 1% maintenance commission is based on meeting your quarterly revenue baseline from ALL assigned accounts combined.

  • If baseline is met: Earn 1% of total quarterly revenue from your accounts
  • If baseline is NOT met: $0 commission for that quarter

Baseline is calculated from the trailing 12-month average when accounts were assigned.

2 New Store Commissions & Setup Bonuses

New online stores earn higher commission rates during the initial growth period, plus a one-time setup bonus to reward the rep for the time and effort to establish the store.

Commission Rates (First 6 Months)

Store Type Commission Rate Description
Brand New Company 5% First-time customer, never ordered before
New Location 3% New location of existing multi-location company (e.g., new Hops N Drops franchise, new AMC property)

Setup Bonus

Store Type Bonus Amount Requirement
Brand New Company $250 Store must hit $2,500 in revenue within first 12 months
New Location $100 Store must hit $2,500 in revenue within first 12 months

Timeline

Month 1-6: Higher commission rate (5% or 3%)
Tracking toward $2,500 setup bonus threshold
Month 6: Store transitions to 1% maintenance bucket
Month 12: If store hit $2,500+ total revenue → Setup bonus paid
($250 for new company, $100 for new location)

3 Account Assignment Rules

LEGACY ACCOUNTS (2025 Baseline)

These assignments are fixed based on historical relationships when the commission structure was created:

  • Nika's established accounts (23 single-location): Assigned to Nika Lao - she developed these relationships
  • Stella Jones (8 locations): Exception - Assigned to Nika Lao - she picked up and maintains this relationship after Taylar's retirement
  • Forma Construction: Assigned to Nika Lao - she is actively working this account
  • Multi-location companies (Hops, AMC, Costco): Assigned to Taneisha Clark - Taylar's corporate relationships she inherited
  • Taylar's other accounts: Assigned to Taneisha Clark - inherited when Taylar retired Aug 2025

NEW ACCOUNTS (2026 Forward)

The rep who sets up the store gets credit for it:

  • Nika brings in a new customer: Assigned to Nika (she set it up)
  • Taneisha brings in a new customer: Assigned to Taneisha (she set it up)
  • New location of existing account: Same rep who owns the parent account

Example Scenarios

Baseline Met

Nika's accounts generate $50,000 in Q1 (baseline: $45,814)

$50,000 x 1% = $500.00
Commission: $500.00

Baseline Not Met

Nika's accounts generate $40,000 in Q2 (baseline: $45,814)

$40,000 < $45,814 baseline
Commission: $0.00

New Company Store

New company "ABC Corp" opens store, generates $3,000 in Month 2

$3,000 x 5% = $150.00
+ $250 bonus (hit $2,500 threshold)
Commission: $400.00

New Location Store

Hops N Drops opens 24th location, generates $1,500 in Month 1

$1,500 x 3% = $45.00
(Bonus pending - needs $2,500)
Commission: $45.00
